Dining with Dickens

A number of articles about how to eat and drink like Dickens have recently come out. A sample:

• Time Out's "Now. Here. This." blog takes readers on a Dickensian pub crawl.
• The MetroWest Daily News publishes a couple of recipes from a Dickens-style Christmas dinner. The Toronto Sun also has a couple.
• The Marin Indepedent Journal features Dickens's own preferred recipe for smoking bishop. And the Edmonds Patch has his recipe for punch.
• The Chicago Tribune reminds us that Dickens helped institute the tradition of the Christmas turkey.
