GE behind the scenes

The Telegraph has interviews with the major players from the GE miniseries, including the writer, production designer, and several of the leading actors. They've also got new on-set photos of Douglas Booth and Ray Winstone.

Among the revelations:

• The Aged P. has been cut out to save time, alas. Something that screenwriter Sarah Phelps said also makes me think that my beloved Wopsle-as-Hamlet scene has also been cut out.
• The miniseries begins airing on BBC One on December 27.
• The DVD will be available January 9, but, I believe, only as a Region 2 DVD. I expect we Americans won't get a Region 1 DVD until after PBS airs the miniseries in April.
