The all-Dickens issue of Femnista (formerly Charity's Tude) is now online, and Charity did a beautiful job on it! My article about Sydney Carton is on page 12. One of our regular readers, Rachel, has an excellent article about Great Expectations on page 26. And Trynstje, a reader who usually goes by the name "birdienl" around here, has a fascinating piece on page 10 about Jasper Fforde's version of Miss Havisham. Enjoy!

I liked your article very much. I read yours and a few others. The quality of writing was very good in that magazine. Do you know anything about its history? What does it usually cover?

Thanks, scrabcake, I'm really glad you liked it! The magazine is a few years old, I believe, and started life as "Costume Chronicles," before it changed to "Charity's Tude" and then "Femnista." It explores literature, movies, and TV in a wide variety of genres, but with a strong emphasis on period drama.
