I recorded The Hour on BBC America to get a look at Vanessa Kirby, one of our Estellas-to-be. Because I am just that obsessive conscientious. Anyway, Burn Gorman, Bleak House's Guppy, was also there! What a movie mashup that would make, eh?

Mindblowing movie mashup: 'Upstairs, Downstairs'

Time for another mindblowing movie mashup! (Or miniseries mashup, in this case.) These have turned out to be so much fun to do that I'm giving them their own tag. This time around, we have the BBC's new remake/follow-up of the classic TV series Upstairs, Downstairs.

So here's the situation: Lizzie Hexam is the ambitious wife of a diplomat. Miss Murdstone is her mother-in-law. Amy Dorrit is Lizzie's restless little sister, who has Nazi leanings. And Mrs. Rouncewell is their cook. Pip drops by sometimes to visit.
