I've been thinking of starting a blog like this for some time now, inspired partly by my friend Lori and her excellent work with her Austen blogs, and wholly by my longstanding love for the works of Charles Dickens. The fact that the new miniseries version of Little Dorrit will soon air on PBS's Masterpiece Classic, as part of a series of Dickens adaptations, spurred me to get on with it; I wanted a place where I could ramble on at length about the show (and, should it turn out to be good, get as fangirly as I want about it).
A word about the blog's name: When it first came to me, I thought it a little long, unwieldy, and in short, odd. But I couldn't shake the feeling that the man who had created Tattycoram and M'Choakumchild and so on would approve wholeheartedly of just such a name. So Dickensblog it is.
In summary, as the introduction blurb at the right says, this blog is for quotes, reflections, reviews, and basically all things Dickens. I hope that fellow Dickens-lovers will enjoy themselves, and that those who are new to this unique and fascinating writer will make themselves at home as well.

Gina,
Congrats on the launch of such a worthwhile and tastefully crafted blog! May it inspire and enrich many lives in the spirit of Philippians 4:8 -- "whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."

Gina,
How wonderful! I'm a Dickens fan, too. You do know he has a birthday coming up soon?
