I've never read this one, Gina, but I've had a taste of Dickens' travel descriptions - I actually found a passage BY DICKENS in my AMERICAN history textbook. And his passage, of course, was extremely interesting. Leave it up to the Dickensians to find such things. ;)

Yes, I just saw it yesterday when my new textbook arrived in the mail. The section was called "Author Charles Dickens Describes Travel on an Early Railroad Train, 1842". It came from the book "American Notes for General Circulation". It made train travel seem really interesting!
