Alas, there was one very, very important person whose reaction we didn't get to see. I don't mean Andrew Davies, and I don't mean Matthew Macfadyen or Claire Foy (even though I was hoping they'd be there, darn it). I mean, of course, the man ultimately responsible for it all, our own dear Mr. Dickens. I like to think that somewhere he's taking a bow before an appreciative group of angels. Bravo, sir!
