The tradition of Dickens descendants with artistic talent continues: According to this article, country musician Little Jimmy Dickens has "an authentic claim to kinship to the great novelist, Charles Dickens." This gives my dad and me a new interest in common. He's not into Charles, but he is a fan of Jimmy, so we can now both call ourselves Dickensians! (I haven't been able to find out exactly what the relationship is, though; I checked one or two of Charles's online family trees, but no Little Jimmy showed up.)

My grandmother is actually Little Jimmy's cousin, I too would like to know how he is related to Charles Dickens but I cant find anything.

My grandmother Beatrice Dickens was Little Jimmy Dickens cousin. He came to a family reunion in WV when I was younger.I just found out that he was kin to Charles Dickens. Now I am reading the book Great Expectations to see how he wrote.Its cool to have such an incredible history in the Dickens line.
