But it's still not David Copperfield. (I'm so sorry, Nina.) It's Edwin Drood, and it's going to air on BBC Four.
But that's only the tip of the iceberg, because it seems there's going to be "a BBC-wide celebration" of the bicentennial! We're also getting new BBC radio adaptations of A Tale of Two Cities (well, radio's better than nothing, I guess) and Martin Chuzzlewit. And . . . possibly more? That's only my speculation, but keep your fingers crossed. There are still two other BBCs besides One and Four, after all!
Edwin Drood! Well, I guess I ought to read it now. :) It's been sitting on my bookshelf for a long time.

Ooh, fascinating! Edwin Drood's better since it's rarely adapted - I wonder how they'll treat the ending? :)
I agree, I hope there are other adaptations! And you know I was crazy about the old BBC radio adaptation of DC so AToTC and MC should be pretty great. ♥
Come on, two other BBCs, give me some David Copperfield love!

I'm wondering about that myself, Nina. There's a limited number of options there, I would think -- unless they decided to really mess with our heads and turn Rosa evil, or something!

That's the either intriguing or scary thing - they can do whatever they want with the ending, really, for better or worse! :P

2012 could be interesting. It is way past time for another version of "A Tale of Two Cities"
