The Great Expectations miniseries is currently shooting here, at 400-year-old Holdenby House in Northamptonshire.
In related news, the ScreenTerrier blog post I linked to this morning now has more cast members listed. (Either they updated it sometime today, or I overlooked an entire paragraph! I'm hoping it's the former.) Here they are:
- Pumblechook: Mark Addy
- Mrs. Joe: Claire Rushbrook
- Compeyson: Paul Rhys
- Wemmick: Paul Ritter
- Orlick: Jack Roth
- Mrs. Brandley: Frances Barber
And finally, if you're on Twitter, you might enjoy following Izzy Meikle-Small (young Estella), who's tweeting some of the behind-the-scenes details -- for instance, what it's like to have to brush up on her piano playing and wear a corset!
What a beautiful location!

It is, isn't it? For some reason, it's pronounced "Holmby." British pronunciations are intriguing. :-)

I can see it being pronounced "Holnby." Very typical of upper-class British smashing together of sounds.

Oh, I love the chimneys... <3 It looks great; I can definitely see the "Gothic" side of it.

Wow, those are some fine chimneys there. :P
And the casting is coming fast, too!
