Writer James Clarke has been working with Lucinda Dickens Hawksley to produce a series of short films in honor of the bicentennial. The article doesn't say much about when and where they'll be made available, but sounds like they'll be worth looking out for!

Sounds great! I hope the films make it to US schools in the near future.

Hi there. Thanks so much for incl. a note about the short films (designed for students in many respects) I've been writing and producing about the work of Charles Dickens. We'll continue to present them online at the British Council website through until March of 2012.
Here is where the short films can be seen: http://www.teachingenglish.org.uk/dickens
With best wishes
James
