Rest in peace, Hitchens. You always had something interesting to say.
I have to say I agree with most of what he says in the article. I've been reading a lot about Richard Wagner lately, who seems like a genuine sociopath. It's an interesting juxtaposition that while Dickens says things that are just as unacceptable by today's standards* as much of Wagner's screed, Dickens was willing to see fault in himself and concede that he might be wrong.
