Just a short, comment, Dickensian, in a couple of words, I love it, what a joy I am a great Dickens fan but absolutely love the idea of the characters being mixed up in the way in which they are. I despair of TV generally, as I find that once Christmas is over not a lot to watch, but this series is great, I don't watch Eastenders but believer Tony Jordan is involved in that soap as well, Well done Tony. It would be worth watching just to see Insp Bucket, his face is a joy! However all the cast supberb. Thankyou for this series.

I’m watching it now, a few years later, and as much fun as some of it it, I can’t quite get behind Holly Furneaux’s personal vision of Dickens, as seen through the multicultural, queer, feminist lens that is her specialty.
