At long last, "Dickensian" has made it to our shores. Shame on me for not knowing about this! I can't believe I missed it, after watching for it for so long. Thanks to Linda Perry for giving me the tip that it's already started airing on some stations (and fortunately, the early episodes are rerunning here tonight so I can get everything recorded). Check your local listings to find out when it airs in your area!

How do you like the show so far?

Very much! I haven't got that far yet (I'm the world's slowest TV viewer), but I have them all on the DVR and am making my way through with great enjoyment!

I am trying for the second time to watch his program. I find it very hard to keep the characters straight and the plot line is very confusing. I saw that the writers had included in the mash up some Dickens books I'd never even heard of. It might have gone better (in England) if fewer books were used. Im going to give it another try though using web sites that explain the episodes.

Why is it not on our PBS stations in Sacramento/San Francisco area?

It may have already aired there, Susanne. But keep an eye out -- it may air again. Also, it's scheduled for a DVD release this fall!
