Danny Strong (The Butler, Game Change) has signed on to script the Oliver! remake, according to Deadline. It's also mentioned that the remake will be a Disney project and that Marc Platt (La La Land) will co-produce with Ice Cube, who's playing Fagin, and Jeff Kwatinetz.
In other Oliver! news, Shani Wallis, who played Nancy in the original remake, was interviewed recently about the film's upcoming 50th anniversary and her memories of making it.
