This story was such a dream to write...and yes, in my original manuscript I had the final scene dialogue between Sydney and the Seamstress verbatim from the source novel, but then realized it didn't quite fit (1) the character of Renee, and (2) the cadence of my own (admittedly inferior) prose.

Thanks for commenting, Allison! I'm so glad you wrote this story.

And I didn't mention this above, but I love that the seamstress's name is the same as my middle name! :-)
